RAM Upgraded
Jul 19 2007, 02:20 AMThe server's RAM has been upgraded from 1GB to 3GB total. This should help with performance massively.
I can already see differences in the command line for RAM usage information, it's no longer using the hard disk as memory so things should be fast.
Over the next few days however, I suspect some settings will need to be tweaked; certain parts may not be taking absolute full advantage of all the RAM, so it may need further adjustments here and there to be fully effective.

Good if you swant more preformance just rrnice the httpd and the mysqld i thunk i am expatementing with prosess pryority myself

Load spikes like that will happen when tables get reloaded into memory. It doesn't matter.

One whole day and no problems.
I would also like to report that the server sounds a lot less active - i.e. the fan is getting a massive break because of the CPU usage taking a nose dive thanks to the RAM. We haven't decreased in traffic though, today was the most traffic I have ever had in 1 day according to Google's statistics.
