IRC Chat Rooms
Feb 14 2008, 09:47 PMThe IRC Chat Rooms (Nightfire) section of the main site is now up under Services and Scripts.
We offer a customizable IRC chat program like you see on our forum services to be used on other websites.
It's simple to create one and use it. There are 3 codes, one to embed it directly in your site, a link for myspaces and blogs, and a popup window as well. No ads on any of the pages either, so the direct embed is nothing but a clean chat that you can customize the color.
Let us know what you think. If you are having problems getting the Java code to come up, remember that you need to click YES to accept any warnings presented to you so it can install the applet to your computer.
The chat rooms are hosted by nightfire IRC network, a reliable system for using IRC. Thanks to Sindacious for the logo!

I created one to give it a try and I seem to be having some problems, all I get when I either embed the chat, or go to the direct link is a blue screen with a red X on a piece of paper in the top left corner.
Not quite sure what the problem is, I'm running the latest version of Java, accepted the files etc but still nothing...

how much ram do you have?
I couldnt view it... but thats prolly cuz Im running a comp with less than 100 mb of ram

I'll be honest, I didn't really test this thoroughly because I can't, though I had it working for me in Windows virtual box so I released it, thinking it'd work anyway. Java doesn't work well on Linux.
No, you do *not* need a lot of ram to run this at all. I'll try to look into it later... somehow. Is even the default color settings not working for you guys?
Edit: Guys, try now. I think I fixed it.

Anybody with an IRC room on their forums, please realize that you are on NightFire and thus not alone XD
I say this because I've seen countless people come on and think it's a totally isolated room. It's actually NightFire and has it's own forum in the computer section of this website
