Tonight's Service Interruption

Tonight's service interruption was due to attacks on our network. It lasted approximately 3 hours. We really apologize for the inconvenience, attacks on our network are difficult to deal with and we have been battling this issue in the last month or so.

As of tonight we're working again to get some different mitigation systems in place and we'll have updates throughout the night and into the next day about our progress on that.

Colored Default Skins + Admin CP

In our last update relating to skins, we released the new default skin, which took the white and red theme of and made it available for every forum.

Well, we promised that we'd provide alternative colors, and here they are!

You can now find the default skin available in all of these colors in the Admin CP Skin Importer:

  • Red
  • Orange
  • Yellow
  • Green
  • Blue
  • Cyan
  • Purple
With this update, we've not only made the default skins available for your forums, but also the Admin CP. In the lower left hand corner of the right pane, you can now select the Administration control panel to be skinned in a color of your choice. This color choice will apply only to individual accounts rather than the entire system, so each of your administrators can choose what they wish. More colors and variants will be added as time goes on as well.

Recent Loading Issues

This post is to address the recent loading issues with the service. This week our service has been the victim of multiple severe DDoS attacks. For those who don't know, this means distributed denial of service attack.

January 4th, 6th, 8th, 9th, brought multiple attacks against our network for short bursts of time (5-10 minutes) and the 12th was a sustained attack. We have been working tirelessly to deal with this problem and have kept everyone updated on our twitter.

We are still working things out at this time, so you may experience service interruptions (504/502 errors, connection resets, etc) while we test and configure as well as roll on / off new firewall rules in an attempt to mitigate further attacks. These solutions take time to fine-tune and there is no "magic bullet." Nevertheless, we are dedicated to finding something that works.

Your patience and support during this time are appreciated. This topic will be updated with any important information we have to share about the issue.
